Cape Town - Jessica Chastain has said It Chapter Two will hold the record for the bloodiest film in horror history, as she spends a scene 'immersed' in 17 034 litres of fake blood.
The Dark Phoenix actress plays adult Beverly in the sequel set to be released on 6 September.
During a panel discussion at San Deigo Comic-Con, it was revealed that the scene is being called the bloodiest scene in the history of horror.
Speaking about it, the 42-year-old said she was immersed in the fake blood which was supposed to go up to her chin while she laid in a bath, but the actress wanted to go even further.
"I said this is our opportunity to really do something crazy. I said let's do Carrie on steroids. I fully went into the blood, which I regretted afterwards."
