Kevin Spacey sexual assault case dropped after accuser dies

Cape Town - The accuser in the second sexual assault charge against actor Kevin Spacey died suddenly, leading to the case being rejected by the court.

The Oscar winner faced sexual allegation charges brought by a male massage therapist, who was known to the public only under the pseudonym John Doe.

John Doe accused Kevin of trying to force him to touch his genitals during a massage at Kevin’s home in 2016, TMZ reported.

The former House of Cards star has since been cleared of these charges by the Los Angeles County district office has since withdrawn the case against the disgraced actor, following the accuser’s sudden death during the investigation.

According to the LA county district office, the case has been rejected because it can’t continue without the presence and participation of the alleged victim, Fox News reported.

There’s been a spate of sexual misconduct accusations against the 60-year-old actor. In recent years his name has featured among the accused in sexual assault and harassment movements such as #MeToo.

Earlier this year, another lawsuit of sexual misconduct was dropped against Kevin when the accuser refused to testify in the case, LA Times reported.
