Cape Town – Lego, love and a funeral – here’s what’s showing in cinemas (and Netflix) this weekend.

Emma Roberts and Hayden Christensen play a pair of star-crossed lovers, the awesome team from the Lego Movie are back and Madea takes a bow in her final film.

Also showing: Exclusive to Netflix Rebel Wilson’s romantic comedy that pokes fun at romantic comedies.

Here are the 4 new movies to see:

Movie: Little Italy

Our rating: 3/5

Short review: This movie is Romeo and Juliet minus the death and with the addition of lots of pizza.

Movie: The Lego Movie 2

Movie:  A Madea Family Funeral

Our rating: 3/5

Short review: While the formula is one that has worked for Perry for a number of years, it was not quite the curtain call that I was hoping for. But if you’re someone who just cannot get enough of Madea and her antics, then this one will still be a fun watch.

Movie: Isn’t It Romantic (Netflix)

Our rating: 2/5

Short review: Isn’t It Romantic becomes the very thing it is mocking – cliché ridden and predictable.
