Leslie Jones slams new Ghostbusters movie

Cape Town – Leslie Jones is not here for the new Ghostbusters sequel

The actress who starred in the 2016 all-female reboot has slammed the upcoming film directed by Jason Reitman.

The new film will be a direct sequel to the 1989 movie.

On Saturday Leslie made her feelings known about the new movie.

She wrote on Twitter: “So insulting. Like fuck us. We don't count. It's like something Trump would do.(Trump voice). "Gonna redo ghostbusters, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain't ghostbusters ugh so annoying. Such a dick move. And I don't give a fuck I'm saying something.”

The reboot which also starred Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon drew sexist backlash from fans before the release of the film. It made a loss at the box office grossing only $229.1m.

More details reveal that the upcoming movie will this time focus on a group of teenagers. According to Screenrant it will follow four teenagers between the ages of 12-13, two boys and two girls.
