Mariah Carey steals Meryl Streep’s seat at the Golden Globes

Cape Town – Mariah Carey did such a Mariah Carey thing at the 75th Annual Golden Globes on Sunday.  

The pop star accidentally sat in Meryl Streep’s seat during a commercial break at the award ceremony.

The Sweet Fantasy singer took to Twitter to apologise to Meryl.

She tweeted: "Got caught mingling on the way to the loo during a commercial break.. took the first seat available, happens to be right next to Steven Spielberg. Cut to next commercial break, guess who comes back to her seat..."

But Meryl was pretty cool about the whole thing.

Mariah later added: "(me) Dear Meryl, please forgive me!!! (MERYL STREEP) You can take my seat any time!"
