Mark Wahlberg's real-life family drama used for new movie

Cape Town - Mark Wahlberg experienced a bit of déjà vu, on the set of the new comedy Instant Family and found himself playing out some real life home struggles, all thanks to his director friend Sean Anders.

The upcoming comedy centres on When Pete (Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) who decide to start a family and stumble into the world of foster care adoption.

They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight.

Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family.

The film releases in SA cinemas on Friday, 7 December.
