Meet the adult cast of the It sequel

Cape Town – Get ready for round two of the Losers Club versus Pennywise.

It: Chapter 2 is set to begin filming later this year in Toronto.

According to Collider the script is being finalised and locations are being scouted.

Andy Muschietti, who returns to direct, has already warned in previous interviews that the sequel will be scarier and that people will have to bring along "adult diapers to the cinema."

The sequel is set to take place in the present, with the Losers Club all grown up, and will have flashbacks to the past.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Muschietti said the child characters will play an integral role in the plot and be a big part of the action as things unfold for their adult versions.

So far, six of the adult cast members have been announced.

HERE'S WHO WILL BE PLAYING WHO:

Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh – played by Sophia Lillis as a kid

James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough – played by Jaeden Lieberher as a kid

Bill Hader as Richie Tozier — played by Finn Wolfhard as a kid

James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak — played by Jack Dylan Grazer as a kid

Andy Bean as Stanley Uris — played by Wyatt Oleff as a kid

Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom — played by Jeremy Ray Taylor as a kid

The adult version of Mike Hanlon played by Chosen Jacobs has yet to be announced.

Muschietti told EW that Mike’s role will take on a darker version from the book.

“I want to make his character the one pivotal character who brings them all together, but staying in Derry took a toll with him. I want him to be a junkie actually. A librarian junkie. When the second movie starts, he’s a wreck.”

Oh and in case you were wondering Bill Skarsgard will return as the evil clown Pennywise.

The film is set to be released on 6 September, 2019
