Los Angeles - Will and Grace star Megan Mullally has joined the cast of Why Him with Bryan Cranston and James Franco.
The 57-year-old star - who rose to prominence in the American sitcom as the character Karen Walker from 1998 to 2006 - joins the 59-year-old Breaking Bad star and Franco, 37 for the romantic comedy.
The film - which comes out in November - is set over the Christmas holidays and is based on a Midwestern dad called Ned (Cranston) who travels with his family to visit his daughter at college and soon finds himself in a battle for her affections with her flash new tech-billionaire boyfriend (Franco).
Megan will play Barb Fleming, the wife of Cranston's Ned.
Production begins next month in Los Angeles and Shawn Levy's 21 Laps and Ben Stiller's Red Hour production houses are producing.
Leby's 21 Laps president Dan Levine is at the helm of the project, which was written by Ian Helfer and John Hamburg, whose other scripting credits include Meet The Parents, Zoolander and I Love You, Man.
Megan has been voicing the part of Gayle in Bob's Burgers, since 2011 and also played the part of a white supremacist in the new NBC series You, Me and the Apocalypse.
She also had a recurring role as Nick Offerman's ex-wife on Parks And Recreation.
