Mel Gibson and Danny Glover to reprise roles in 'Lethal Weapon 5'

Cape Town – A fifth instalment of the Lethal Weapon franchise is reportedly in the works.

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover played a pair of mismatched LAPD detectives, Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh.

They reprised the roles for three more films between 1989 and 1998. 

Dan Lin produced a television series starred Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans which aired from 2016 – 2019. 

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Dan hinted that the movie is close to happening and that Mel, Danny and director Richard Donner are on board.

He said: "We're trying to make the last Lethal Weapon movie. And Donner's coming back. The original cast is coming back. And it's just amazing. The story itself is very personal to him" reports People.
