Cape Town – As 2016 draws to an end, there are 4 new movies to watch at the box office, and it’s a bunch of films you won’t want to miss.
Mel Gibson makes a massive comeback with his WWII drama, Hacksaw Ridge, sure to rake in the accolades during the upcoming award season.
Another, less serious, space movie as well as a Silicon Valley comedy offer a contrast of love stories and there’s even something for the kids.
Here are 4 new films at the local box office:
Movie: Hacksaw Ridge
Our rating: 5/5
Short review: Hacksaw Ridge will shake you to your core and will haunt you long after you leave the cinema.
Movie: Passengers
Rating: 4/5
Short review: This modern day love story set in outer-space is the summer blockbuster flick you can watch to escape from your own world.
Movie: Why Him?
Rating: 3/5
Short review: Why Him? will give techies a total hard-on and is filled to the brim with toilet humour and in-your-face sex jokes.
Movie: Middle School
Rating: 3/5
Short review: Middle School is really only for its targeted age group – but that doesn't mean that their parents will suffer unduly while watching it with them over what remains of this holiday period.
