Cape Town – Filming for the Wonder Woman sequel has kicked off and director Patty Jenkins just dropped a major plot twist.
Jenkins posted a picture of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor with the caption, “Welcome to WONDER WOMAN 1984, Steve Trevor! #WW84.”

In the first film Trevor sacrificed himself to save the world. So, it comes as a surprise that he is still alive in 1984.
Gal Gadot who plays Diana Prince/Wonder Woman also teased a picture of herself in character.
In the photo Diana is staring at a wall of televisions with credits of 1980s programmes running.

In the sequel Diana comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s. She will face off against the antagonist Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah played by Kristen Wiig.
Pedro Pascal best known for his role as the Red Viper in Game of Thrones also joins the cast in an undisclosed role.
The film is set to be released in November 2019.
