UPDATE:
New Line Cinema has officially announced that principal photography has begun on It: Chapter Two on Monday.
Along with the announcement the studio released a picture of the full adult cast at what looks to be a table reading.
Every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, It: Chapter Two brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

Cape Town – Filming for It: Chapter 2 has kicked off in Toronto.
The sequel is set 30 years after the first film and will follow the adult versions of the characters.

Jessica Chastain who plays the adult version of Beverly Marsh shared a snap on Instagram.
Alongside the photo of her and Sophia Lillis faces merged, she wrote: “DAY 1. #BeverlyMarsh #ITmovie.”
James McAvoy, who plays Bill Denbrough, also shared a picture of polaroids of cast members.

While Chapter One focused on the first half of the Stephen King novel, in which the the children are terrorised by Pennywise, Chapter Two will follow the second half of the book.
In the sequel the characters return to their hometown as adults to face Pennywise once again. The film will also feature the younger cast in flashbacks.
It: Chapter 2 is set to be released in September 2019.
