PICS: Will Smith chops off Jaden's hair for new movie

Cape Town – Jaden Smith's dad gave him a haircut on the set of their new movie.

Will and Jaden return to the big screen together in the film, Life in a Year.

The story centres on 17-year-old Daryn (Jaden) who discovers that his girlfriend Isabella (Cara Delevingne) is dying of cancer.

He makes it his mission to help tick off everything on her bucket list before she dies. 

Will, who is producing the film helped Jaden get into character.

On the first day of set Will cut off his dreadlocks and shared the pics on Facebook.

This is not the fist time the father son duo is working together. Their previous collaborations include: The Pursuit of Happyness, The Karate Kid and After Earth. 

Other cast members include Terrance Howard, Nia Long  andStony Blyden.  Mitja Okorn is directing the film.
