Cape Town - Robert Downey Jr. was inspired by his own children for his "I love you 3000" line in Avengers: Endgame.
It was one of the most touching scenes in the film when Tony Stark told his daughter Morgan (Lexi Rabe) just how much he loves her.
In an interview with Fandango co-writer Christopher Markus revealed that this is a line that Robert uses with his children.
"Well much as we'd like to take credit for what is inevitably going to be one of the most memorable lines in MCU history, that is something that Robert and his children actually say to each other, and he brought it from real life onto the set," says Christopher.
Co-writer Stephen McFeely added that the original script was: "Love you tons. Love you tons."
On Friday directors Anthony and Joe Russo shared on Instagram that the spoiler ban will lift on Monday, 6 May.
