Ryan Reynolds and Emily Blunt top new Hollywood highest-paid list

Cape Town - Ryan Reynolds and Emily Blunt have emerged as the highest-paid stars in Hollywood in a new Variety report.

The trade publication released their annual Money Issue on Tuesday which reveals the salaries actors have received for their latest projects.

Ryan is set to earn $27m for the Netflix film 6 Underground while Emily is set to get $12-13m to reprise her role in A Quiet Place 2.

Dwayne Johnson ties with Robert Downey Jr at number two with earnings of $20m for Hobbs & Shaw and The Voyage of Dr Dolittle respectively. Other actors on the list include: Will Smith who will take home $17m for Bad Boys for Life, Jason Statham with $13m for Hobbs & Shaw and Tom Cruise is reportedly getting $12-14m for Top Gun: Maverick.

Gal Gadot follows Emily as the highest-paid actress with $10m for Wonder Woman 1984. Other actresses on the list include: Margot Robbie who will earn $9-10m for Birds of Prey and Kirsten Stewart will receive $7m for Charlie's Angels.
