Seth Rogen on board to produce Where's Wally film

Los Angeles - Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are set to produce a Where's Wally movie.

Sources close to website The Tracking Board have said the Hollywood actors are being lined up to work on the film, which will be based on the popular children's book series of the same name - known as Where's Waldo in the US - through their Point Grey Pictures production company.

In the books, kids have to try to pick out Wally, who is dressed in a red and white striped top and has a hat in the same style, black-rimmed glasses and a walk sticking, through a crowd of other characters.

The movie has long been talked about and has changed hands on several occasions with MGM now taking control of the project.

Paramount were reported to have previously acquired the rights for the production but it was cancelled. Universal then took over but the result was the same.

A number of writers are said to have contributed to the script, including Marc Hyman, Adam Rifkin and most recently Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Masters screenwriter Todd Berger.

One early idea for the movie bandied about was that Wally would accidentally activate a time machine which would take him to the future, and he would have to try to get back to his lover, Wilma.
