Shailene Woodley finally confirms she's not doing the Divergent TV movie

Cape Town – We reported last year that The Divergent saga will meet its ending on the small screen. 

After much speculation whether or not the star of the film Shailene Woodley will return the actress has finally put the question to bed. 

Woodley confirmed to Vanity Fair earlier this week at the premiere of new television series, Big Little Lies that she will not appear in the movie or the spin-off television series. 

Ascendant the final chapter in the franchise was originally set to be released in March 2017.

However, after the third film, Allegiant, performed poorly at the box office the studio came up with a new strategy.

It is still unclear whether Miles Teller, Theo James and Ansel Elgort will return.
