Channel24's Alex Isaacs flew to London to speak to the cast and crew of DC's latest film, Shazam! The fun comic book flick which stars Zachary Levi as the title character, who discovers the superhero within him after meeting a mysterious wizard.
Cape Town - In our sit-down interview with British actor Mark Strong – who plays Dr. Thaddeus Sivana in the film - the suave 55-year-old told us about filming multiple projects in South Africa and his desire to travel on the Blue Train from Cape Town.
Mark, who is known for his roles in films such as Stardust and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, also elaborated on his chemistry with Zachary Levi and playing such a fun character.
About South Africa the actor said: "I've been there a fair few times, I shot Grimsby there, I shot a film called Flashbacks of a Fool there with Daniel Craig…I did a series called The Long Firm there."
Mark then explained that he's always wanted to explore SA by rail on The Blue Train saying: "I've never had the chance to get from Cape Town and take the train that goes around, you know there's a beautiful train that goes there."
About his character in the film he said: "He's got everything, he's got the great costume, he's got the big leather coat, the little sunglasses, he gets to do dastardly things…"
