Cape Town - Debbie Reynolds - who died on Thursday, just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher - was not only a icon of the silver screen but a shrewd investor in movie memorabilia too.
The Singin' in the Rain star had over 3500 pieces of old school Hollywood collectables.
One of the most notable was a dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in the film The Seven Year Itch. During a famous scene in the film Marilyn's character stands above a subway grate and her ivory dress blows up causing everyone to stop and stare.

After this interview, in 2011, Reynolds sold the dress on auction for more than $5.6 million.
