'The Batman' director hints that Colin Farrell has been cast as Penguin

Cape Town – New Batman movie director Matt Reeves has used Twitter to announce casting news of significant characters in his upcoming adaptation of the comic book legend's adventures.

The filmmaker whose previous work includes War for the Planet of the Apes has posted GIFS and pictures of actors with intentionally coy captions to confirm the news of stars like Robert Pattinson as the lead and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.

Now his latest post seemingly confirms that Irish star Colin Farrell will be playing Penguin, who is also known as Oswald Cobblepot.

Along with a GIF of Colin, Matt tweeted the caption: "Wait — is that you, #Oz ?".
