The Labia Theatre in Cape Town temporarily closes

The Labia Theatre in Cape Town has temporarily closed its doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a post on their Instagram account, they wrote: "At the Labia, the health and safety of our staff and patrons is paramount, and we have therefore made the difficult decision to temporarily close for three weeks."

If you had made a booking, you can request a refund or alternatively, the cinema asks for continued support by not asking for a refund.

"Or you may help support the Labia during this challenging period, by not asking for a refund. We would appreciate the help to keep paying salaries and running costs," they wrote.

Chain cinemas Ster-Kinekor and Nu Metro cinemas are still open. They have implemented precautionary measures such an installing hand sanitisers, deep cleaning, social distancing, and capping cinema capacity for each show at 100.
