Cape Town - Channel24 Movies nabbed an invite to the exclusive premiere of 43:03 - The Wayde van Niekerk Story in Cape Town on Tuesday.
The premiere was attended by Wayde's family, friends, sponsors and special guests from the sporting world. A number of fans also joined Wayde at the Cinema Nouveau at the Waterfront.
Titled 43:03 - The Wayde van Niekerk Story the documentary was named after the world record time set by Wayde at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic games. And features in-depth accounts of Wayde's life, from his family, friends and global sporting icons.
T-Systems sponsored the production of the documentary which was created by Harambee Communications.

Speaking to Channel24 Movies after the screening, Wayde, who is extremely camera shy says it was "very difficult to open up at first."
But eventually started to warm up to the process, saying: "There are so many South Africans with amazing talent, and I just want to be that beacon of inspiration for them."
After seeing the documentary for the very first time he says: "It felt so weird, and it still hasn't clicked. It felt like I was watching someone else. But it gave me a new sense of motivation."
43:03 - The Wayde van Niekerk Story features several of Wayde's family members. And throughout the documentary they speak about how proud they are of him.
"Without them my story could have not been told in such a beautiful way," he says.
Through this documentary, Wayde hopes to inspire people to follow their dreams and achieve success.
T-Systems is in the process of approaching broadcasters to air 43:03 - The Wayde van Niekerk Story.
