Cape Town – When Henry Cavill auditioned for Man of Steel he didn’t have his fancy modern superman costume.
Instead the actor had to do a screen test in the original costume worn by Christopher Reeves.
In an interview with Dujour director Zack Snyder shared some behind-the-scenes details of Henry's audition.
He said that at the time the suit wasn't ready so they made him wear the original suit.
"He put it on and when he came out of the trailer, everyone was like, 'Dang, you’re Superman!," he told Dujour.
Zack went on to share a picture of Henry in the costume on the social media site Vero.
Alongside the picture he wrote: "First test with Henry... I knew right away he was my Superman."
