US actors head to SA for film premiere

Love By Chance, a South Africa-US co-production will premiere in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 25 April. 

US actors Terri J Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show), Desi Banks (Strangers with Memories) and Ja’el Roberson (Let's Stay Together) will join the local actors at a press junket and premiere. 

The film centres on two aspiring South African actors who are trying to break out in Hollywood, who meet each other by chance and give love a shot.

Other cast members include fellow South Africans Denise Zimba and Nicholas Nkuna.

The film is directed by award-winning international film and television producer and director Samad Davis.

He describes Love by Chance as a pioneering film because it brings together US and South African talent and bridges cultural and continental divides against the backdrop of a comedy.  

The film will be released in cinemas nationwide on Friday, 5 May.
