Cape Town – There are four new films to kick off a weekend filled with Black Friday savings. 

A local comedy, a submarine thriller, a paranormal thriller, and a lesson in American history make up this weekend’s offering at local cinemas.

Here are the 4 new films releasing in SA cinemas:

Movie: Hunter Killer

Our rating: 3/5

Short review: A very solid submarine-thriller, Hunter Killer could have done with a sense of humour and some editing, but it may well be the film that rockets South African director, Donovan Marsh, to mainstream Hollywood success.
