Johannesburg – Only a week to go till the much anticipated Deadpool 2 hits cinemas and Ryan Reynolds seems to be mending old relationships just in time.
Beckham took to Instagram on Thursday to share a hilarious one minute clip which sees Deadpool visit him. Sky News reports that in a promo for Deadpool 2, the former England football captain is seen watching the first instalment of Deadpool, in which Ryan Reynolds' character compares Beckham's voice to inhaling helium.
As Beckham watches, and re-watches, Deadpool insult him – “You ever heard David Beckham speak?” asks Reynolds’ character. “It’s like he mouth sexed a can of helium” – the high-voiced Brit gets a “sorry” text message from the antihero.
The video then sees Beckham unimpressed when Deadpool arrives at his door. David rolls his eyes at the antihero who presents him with a variety of gifts to say sorry – from milk and cookies to a Mexican mariachi band. With David slamming the door until Deadpool presents him with tickets to the World Cup.
Reynolds who also produces the film and plays Deadpool also released the video on Instagram as well as Twitter, captioning the post, “Little known fact: Canadians are born with a black belt in apology”.
Beckham shows off his acting chops, too. Taking a jab back the 41-year-old, he asks what he was sorry for. He then suggests a list of movie flops he should rather be apologizing for: Green Lantern, RIPD, Selfless, Blade Trinity, and Boltneck.
Beckham also took to Instagram on Friday to share snaps with him and his kids with the action star. This included a rather affectionate pose, with his hand around Deadpool’s thigh.
This comes after Reynold’s shared Deadpool’s rejection letter from The Avengers with fans.
