WATCH: Heartbreaking footage of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher's life together

Cape Town - Debbie Reynolds and her daughter Carrie Fisher have died within a day of each other.

Carrie passed away on Tuesday following cardiac arrest onboard an aeroplane and Debbie passed away on Wednesday following a reported stroke. 

The mother, daughter team were always close and made a documentary together called Bright Lights: Starring Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. The film was shown on American network HBO.

In this clip from the doccie Carrie brings food to her mother next door and the pair's bond is evident.
