WATCH: Nick Jonas, Ed Skrein, and Mandy Moore in first teaser trailer for new war film 'Midway'

Cape Town - The first teaser trailer for director Roland Emmerich's World War II movie Midway has arrived. 

The film focuses on the legendary 1942 Battle of Midway, a historic clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy, which marked a significant turning point for the Americans in the Pacific during WWII. 

It also details the drama-filled six months leading up to the Battle of Midway following Japan’s infamous attack on Pearl Harbour. 

The film has a stellar cast including Patrick Wilson, Luke Evan, Ed Skrein, Woody Harrelson, Dennis Quaid, Nick Jonas, Aaron Eckhart, and Mandy Moore.

The film opens in SA cinemas on 27 December 2019.
