WATCH: Popular 70s TV detectives make a comeback on the big screen

Cape Town – The popular 70s TV cop show Chips is making a big screen comeback.

Dax Shepard and Michael Pena will stars in the roles that made Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada famous. The show ran for six seasons on NBC. 

Just like the hit show the story centres on two California highway patrolmen.

The stars of the movie debuted the trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The film hits cinemas on 24 March.
