WATCH: Schalk Bezuidenhout is almost unrecognisable in trailer for new gay Afrikaans film

Cape Town – Local comedian and actor Schalk Bezuidenhout stars in the upcoming gay Afrikaans film, Kanarie.

Bezuidenhout is joined by Anna-Mart van der Merwe and a slew of other well-known Afrikaans actors in the kykNET film, which centres on a young man serving in the Apartheid-era army and exploring his identity after joining the organisation’s choir - The Kanaries. 

Schalk is almost unrecognisable in the trailer for the film which was released on YouTube on Friday, 18 May.
