WATCH: The trailer for 'Fast 9' has plot twists and death-defying stunts

Cape Town – Buckle up! You're in for a wild ride.

The official trailer for the Fast and Furious 9 has been released and it's filled with plot twists, death-defying car stunts, and even a return from the dead.

Earlier in the week, a 50-second teaser for the upcoming film hinted at an all-new threat that will try and destroy Dominic (Vin Diesel) and Letty's (Michelle Rodriguez) family bliss. (Read more here)

In the action-packed 3-minute video we learn that the new threat in Dom's younger brother Jakob (John Cena) who is a "master thief, assassin, and high-performance driver".

Cipher (Charlize Theron) is once again at the helm of turning the family against each other.

The most shocking reveal though is Han's (Sung Kang) return who was seemingly killed in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift by Deckard Shaw's team. Well, we'll have to wait for the full movie to find out how Han survived that car crash.
