Cape Town - When Disney shared the first teaser trailer for the remake of The Lion King in November 2018 they sent every Lion King fan into a frenzy.
Now, this past Sunday Disney officially dropped the much anticipated full trailer of the movie at the Oscars and it’s everything we expected it to be.
The preview almost mirrors the scenes from the original 1994 animation, with the legendary Elton John soundtrack playing over its spectacular HD visuals.
As it begins with the Zulu chant that begins the "Circle of Life", we get to see iconic scenes such as where the sun is rising and Rafiki lifts Simba over the kingdom and baby Simba delivers his aww-inducing sneeze.
There are famous names starring as the voices of the characters, with Beyoncé Knowles cast as the voice of Simba’s childhood friend Nala, while James Earl Jones is the voice of Mufasa.
