WATCH: This Golden Globes opening monologue made history and here’s why

Cape Town – Actress Sandra Oh made history twice at The Golden Globes 2019 when she became the first Asian host of the award show and also became the first Asian woman to win multiple Golden Globes.

The Killing Eve star (who hosted alongside SNL alum Andy Samberg) reflected these monumental achievements during the pair's opening monologue, in which she said: "I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out onto this audience and witness this moment of change. And I’m not fooling myself. I’m not fooling myself. Next year could be different. It probably will be. But right now, this moment is real."
