WATCH: This new Gerard Butler flick was directed by a South African

Cape Town – The trailer for South African director Donovan Marsh’s (iNumber Number) new film has just been released.

Hunter Killer is a modern day submarine action thriller starring Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman, Michael Nyqvist and Common, and is based on the book Firing Point by George Wallace and Don Keith.

Butler plays an untested American submarine captain – Joe Glass – as he leads a group of elite Navy Seals in a mission to rescue the Russian president, who has been kidnapped by a rogue general, before times runs out.
