Cape Town - Dwayne Johnson still has no time for “candyass” Vin Diesel. The wrestler-turned-movie star opens up about his beef with his The Fate of the Furious co-star in the May issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Dwayne says him and Vin have major differences in philosophy when shooting a film. He also revealed that they didn’t shoot scenes together in the Fast & Furious franchise’s eighth film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, despite their characters, Luke Hobbs and Dominic Toretto, sharing one key moment together in the blockbuster eagle-eyed movie-goers noted that The Rock and Vin were edited into the scene.

“That is correct. We were not in any scenes together,” Dwayne told Rolling Stone. “Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realise is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

The feud between the two began in 2016 when Dwayne took to Instagram to say he had a serious issue with the behaviour of one of his castmates, calling the unidentified co-star a “candyass”.

And it seems Vin pushed Dwayne just a bit too far. “Dwayne will give you a lot of latitude," Beau Flynn, who’s produced seven of The Rock’s films, told Rolling Stone. “You can push and push and push. But there's a line in the sand with him – close to his toes, probably – and if you cross that, that's one of the rare times he gets upset.”

Dwayne also noted he may not be back for the ninth instalment of the Fast flicks. But for now, we’re sure he has more important things to worry about – like him and long-time partner Lauren Hashian expecting their second child together any day now.

“We're expecting probably within the next two weeks so I'm on Code Red, high alert,” he told the press when promoting his new movie, Rampage.
