Cape Town – Five actors are in the running for the role of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming biopic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver), Miles Teller (Whiplash), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Harry Styles (Dunkirk) and Austin Butler (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) did a screen test for the filmmaker last week.

The role is expected to be filled in the next few weeks.

Tom Hanks will play Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis' manager in the film that will explore the King of Rock 'n Roll's rise to fame, his music, his life and his complicated relationship with his manager.

In a recent interview, American Idol alum Adam Lambert shared that he was very interested in playing the role.
