You won't recognise Christian Bale as he transforms into Dick Cheney in new biopic

Cape Town – Actor Christian Bale’s drastic transformation into Dick Cheney is transfixing in the first trailer for Vice which was released on Wednesday.

In the trailer Bale (as Cheney) can be heard saying to Sam Rockwell’s George W. Bush, “I’m a CEO of a large company, and I have been secretary of defence, and I have been White House chief of staff. The vice presidency is a mostly symbolic job…however, if we came to a different understanding…”

Cheney served as the 46th Vice President of the United States from 2001 to 2009.

The biopic was directed by Adam McKay which also directed the critically acclaimed film The Big Short.

The movie will be released in December in America.
