YouTube removed ads for this new horror flick because it was too scary!

Cape Town - Ads for the upcoming horror film The Nun have been so frightening that YouTube was forced to remove it after receiving complaints from users.

The Nun is a gothic supernatural horror film directed by Corin Hardy and is a spin-off of 2016's The Conjuring 2 and the fifth instalment in The Conjuring series.

Set in Romania in 1952 the film centres on a nun, a Catholic priest and a novice, sent by the Vatican, to investigate the mysterious suicidal death of a nun at the Cârta Monastery.

The film opens in SA cinemas on Friday, 7 September.
