What it's about:

Young American couple Tom and Anna Reed fall into severe debt while renovating Anna's family home in London. As they face the loss of their dream to have a house and start a family, they discover that the tenant in the apartment below them has been murdered, and he left behind a stash of cash—$400 000 worth. Though initially hesitant, Tom and Anna decide that the plan is simple: All they have to do is quietly take the money and use only what's necessary to get them out of debt. But, when they start spending the money and can't seem to stop, they find themselves the target of a deadly adversary, the thief who stole it, and that's when very bad things start happening to good people.

What the critics say:

They're good people, all right-but pretty stupid.
- Rex Reed, New York Observer

It only overcomes its deficiencies and gains a modicum of entertainment value precisely when it commits to its illogical storylines and exaggerated plot twists.
- Tomas Hachard, Slant Magazine

Kate Hudson wears the pants in this family, perfecting ballsy moves against bad guys. In a nuclear family noir faceoff against gangster thriller gore, channeling guerrilla imagination in a bleak, apocalyptic end stage capitalism, recession stricken world.
- Prairie Miller, Critical Women

Decent cast, seriously hackneyed story
- Roger Moore, McClatchy-Tribune News Service

A little money changes everything.
