Jamelia - Superstar – The Hits

2007-11-21 13:31
Starting a career at age 15 is no joke. But this British babe who’s now a mother of two always handled teen fame very well. Not once have we heard disturbing stories of drug abuse, and she’s certainly not a headline-hogging bimbo like most pop stars her age. She’s always shown diligence and perseverance throughout her career.

Superstar – The Hits is an overview of all her best songs starting from her debut album, Drama through Thank You to Walk With Me. Fans will enjoy “Thank You”, a song that most women who have been in an abusive relationship can relate to. Another great jam that comes to mind is “See it in a boy’s eyes” which she won the MOBO Best Video Award for. Remember the video she shot in Cuba dressed in army uniform which was something fresh and different from the usual mini-skirt and booty shaking we see in music videos? Other highlights to look out for are “Stop” and “Money” which shows her evolving maturity as an R&B singer.

You know her from the hit single “Superstar” which got some of us girls luring all the bad boys to the dance floor in search of our own superstars! Since then she’s released hit after hit collecting awards along the way. Her songs are definitely not those you forget easily. We’ll be listening to them for years to come which is why you need to get yourself a copy of Jamelia’s Superstar – The Hits collection.
