The Parlotones - VideoControlledRobot

Well, if so, than you've been misled by the title. While this release may take inspiration for its moniker from 2005's RadioControlledRobot, it's actually a mash-up of The Parlotones' last two albums, and includes newly crowned wedding song of the year "I'll Be There" and "Giant Mistake" from A World Next Door to Yours But, as you may have guessed, the 2-disc collection's biggest selling point is the inclusion of a DVD that showcases all of the band's eye-catching videos. So while they may not be breaking new ground with their radio-friendly rock, they work particularly well as visual pioneers. Just check out the tinfoil warriors in their Lord of the Rings inspired video for "I'll Be There" or the comic book adventure of "Dragonflies and Astronauts". But wait, there's more. Loads more, in fact. Thirty minutes of live footage of the band performing at My Coke Fest 2008, a stunning slideshow and three bonus tracks, which all add up to making this the all-in-one Parlotones experience. And it's a good bargain too.
Why, you may be wondering, are The Parlotones re-releasing an album that first came out waaaay back in 2005, when a song like "Overexposed" wasn’t ironic or you forgave them for that weirdly out of tune cover of "Here Comes the Man"?
