Various - Grammy Nominees 2007

You’ve wriggled your arse to "My Humps" for months and months and truly believed you were bringing "Sexyback" to Cape Town. "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree" by KT Tunstall and Carrie Underwood’s "Jesus Take The Wheel" have already been murdered by American Idol hopefuls and Daniel Powter’s "Bad Day" is a TV advert. You are transported back to the time your ex-boyfriend played James Blunt’s "Beautiful" to get you to go out with him, and the time you thought playing him Christina Aguilera’s "Ain’t No Other Man" (three months later) would rekindle the flame. Some memories are best left in the oh-six.

The artists have all moved on too - JT’s bringing Britney back, Jessica Simpson’s on tour with John Mayer, Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas and Nicole from PCD went solo and Natasha Bedingfield wants your baby.

Although not all tracks on this compilation have dated. Some were dated from the moment they were released - Paul McCartney’s still making music?

So unless you’ve been in Nunavut for the past year, you’re probably so over it already.

The thing about a Grammy Nominees compilation is that by the time the CD hits the shelves the tracks are half way to becoming classics, at least in Englance, where most of the featured stars originate.
