Podcasts? What kind of space travel is that?
"Podcast" is a misleading name for the delivery of files to your computer via the internet. To get podcasts, you subscribe to an RSS feed. Your podcast receiver (there are many but we recommend iTunes or iPodder) checks whichever feed you subscribe to, and downloads new items when they are available.
It's not really a "cast" because you don't watch the videos live. It's also nothing to do with "pods". You don't need a video iPod or any other fancy gadget to download and watch our videos. You can subscribe to receive them as podcasts, or you can just watch them right now on your computer, in iTunes (for .mov files) or Windows Media Player (for .wmv files). We only use the term "podcasts" for two reasons. One, it sounds cool. Two, podcasts have become a style, a format, a way of doing audio and video. It's gonzo radio and gonzo TV. Podcasts are much like TV or Radio inserts in style. But the beauty of them is that you can fastforward and rewind them at will, play them anywhere and keep them forever (or delete them if they bore you.)
Subscribe to video podcasts now

- Copy this link:
http://www.24.com/media/podcasts/musicvideo.rss
- Then add it to your subscriptions in your podcast receiver (Juice for instance), or click "Advanced - Subscribe to podcasts..." in iTunes.
Watching "podcasts"
To watch a podcast is easy. It's a video file. If you've subscribed, you just click play when it's downloaded. Or if you're choosing to watch an individual podcast, Just click the link we provide. Having broadband internet (ADSL, 3g, Wifi etc) will help, as video files are big and take time to download. But we often provide a low quality version of our videos.
Watch one now! It's a behind the scene at the Obrigado mag 7 Deadly Sins photoshoot featuring Steve Hofmeyr, Fokofpolisiekar, Godessa and other interesting SA music stars.
Pick one and play it or save it:
- 13MB Mov file (high quality)
Plays with quicktime / iTunes media player.
- 1.5MB WMV file (low quality) Plays with Windows Media Player, which you probably already have on your computer.
Why bother to subscribe? Well, so you don't miss an episode. Without visiting our site, you can open your podcast receiver, download the latest episodes and play them whenever you like, wherever you like. Coming up, we have interviews with Fokofpolisiekar, Steve Hofmeyr, Godessa, Farryl Purkiss and others all shot at the shoot. As Paris would say, "it's hot". And of course, it's also free.
