Barbie girl in a Barbie world
It’s official: Paris Hilton is a toy doll. Bang Showbiz reports that the 26-year-old heiress’ image has been reproduced as a doll by German company Simba Toys. Simba executive Juergen Deschner confirmed the dolls - which were personally styled by Paris - will go on sale in Europe later this year. The different toys come complete with silver highlights, sparkly miniskirts, evening dresses and even mini MP3 players. The Paris range will be released together with Simba's most famous doll, Steffi Love, the German version of Barbie. Paris has signed a two-year deal with the company and pleased with the range. Apparently Miss Thang previously turned down an offer to be made into a sex doll. She said, “I turn down perverted things, some sex things. Like a Paris Hilton blow-up doll. This company was like, ‘They'll sell for $50,000 each, it'll be the real-life you.’ And I'm like, I really don't want a real-life me with anyone, anywhere. No!” Yes! We agree, one of the real-life you is enough girlfriend.

Baby Whitney
New kid on the R&B block, Leona Lewis was left "overwhelmed" when Whitney Houston said she was a "baby version" of herself says Bang Showbiz. The 'Bleeding Love' singer met her "all-time musical hero" at producer Clive Davis' Annual Grammy Party in Los Angeles last weekend, but could barely speak when she was introduced to her idol. She said, “It was amazing; I got to meet my all-time musical hero Whitney Houston - Clive introduced us. I don't think I managed to say much though, I was overwhelmed! Leona sang her hit single 'Bleeding Love' and covered 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' in front of a star-studded audience, which included Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys and Usher. The British star admitted she found the whole experience “surreal”.

Mama Madonna
According to Bang Showbiz, Madonna hosted a star-studded fundraiser for Malawi orphans on Wednesday night last week. The singer, who has a two-year-old adopted son David from the African country; hosted the New York bash for her Raising Malawi Foundation, United Nations children's organisation UNICEF and to celebrate the opening of a new Gucci store. “I want to put Raising Malawi on the map. I want credibility as a philanthropic organisation. I want to inspire people. I don't want them to just write me a cheque - I want them to give me a piece of their heart.” A-list stars include Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes, Heidi Klum, Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher, Lucy Liu, Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, Drew Barrymore and heavily-pregnant Jennifer Lopez her hubby Marc Anthony. Alicia Keys, Timbaland and Rihanna performed, while comedian Chris Rock hosted an auction that offered a chance to have an aerobics lesson with Madonna. The dinner raised an impressive $3.7 million, which will be split between Raising Malawi and UNICEF. You go girl!

No, No, No
USAtoday.com reports that music veteran Natalie Cole doesn't think Amy Winehouse should have taken home any Grammys on Sunday night. “This is about discipline and hard work, and you don't get to just do your drugs and go onstage and get rewarded,” Cole told People. Eish sounds like sour grapes. When asked who her picks for Grammy sweethearts were? She said, “Rihanna and Beyoncé. You can tell how hard they work, they're great people, their heart is in the right place.” Ag Natalie sounds like you’ve got beef that nobody gave you an award when you were all high but sorry sisi, Amy deserved those awards. We understand your sentiments but Amy was not being judged for her flaws and her addiction. The girl was rewarded for her talent and for giving the masses a brilliant and honest album. She is in rehab after all and maybe winning this award will inspire her to get better, who knows? People still love her music despite what she’s going through in her personal life. Cole has battled substance-abuse problems herself so maybe what she should be doing is giving Amy tips and guidance and just stop being a hater sister.

Still on the Grammys
Aceshowbiz.com reports that after her very first Grammy win on Sunday evening, Rihanna was involved in a minor car accident. This happened right after the Grammy Awards celebration. The R&B superstar was leaving the Island Def Jam party. She had just climbed into her waiting vehicle when another car veered off the road and smashed into her parked vehicle. Fortunately no one was injured as the car was hit from behind. Phew, that was really close girl!

Lenny in hospital
NME.com reports that Lenny Kravitz had to postpone his forthcoming European tour due to severe illness. The singer checked into Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami earlier this week for bronchitis as well as severe dehydration and fatigue. Kravitz was to play in London and Brussels next week and throughout Europe until March. New dates will be re-scheduled in the coming weeks. “I would like to apologize to my fans in Europe,” Kravitz said in a statement. “I am extremely disappointed that I am not able to come to Europe to see everyone and also perform. Unfortunately I need to take this time to rest and get healthy and so I was forced to make this decision.” Eish we hope you get better soon Lenny and maybe you can come down to Mzansi too.

Celine Dion in Mzansi
Celine Dion has finally set foot on African soil. The singer arrived on Sunday evening for the highly anticipated Taking Chances World Tour, which kicks off in Jozi tonight.
