King Arthur and Queen make peace
Former love birds Queen Seseko and the alleged king of kwaito Arthur Mafokate, are talking again after years of uncomfortable silence. Sunday World reports that Arthur Mafokate has finally swallowed his pride and made peace with the mother of his daughter, Owami. Queen was allegedly barred from visiting their child when she moved out of Mafokate’s mansion in Midrand after their break-up. Sesoko confirmed that she and the father of her child have decided to be friends. “I’m happy that we’ve finally resolved our differences. We now talk regularly about our daughter and her progress, “she says. She’s very grateful to Arthur reaching out and them starting afresh because now she can have a relationship with her daughter. Sesoko is also tired of the negative coverage that she has been receiving in the media but will be releasing her new album, Sweet Little Things with a new record company soon. We wonder if this ”new” record company is Arthur’s 999. Time will tell.

Bad Boy Ntando
Afro-pop heart throb Ntando Bangane, snubbed the mayor of Mogale City Koketso Seerane’s invitation to perform in Mogale City last week Friday reports Sunday World. Ntando failed to show up for a performance at the mayor’s state-of-the-city address event for which he had been booked late last year. Apparently Ntando accepted the invitation and agreed he would perform, only to disappear without a trace on Thursday. Ntando and his manager Sipho Dlamini, allegedly failed to show up or at least notify the organisers that they were cancelling. Their cellphones were switched off because Ntando was allegedly booked for another gig in Cape Town which he chose to go for. Organisers had to come up with an alternative and luckily Afro-pop group, Mafikizolo rescued the situation. Eish Ntando mara uyabaiza!

Bad girl Mbau
Controversial social fly and actress Khanyi Mbau has paid a heavy price for her alleged bad behavior reports Sunday World. Mbau was fired as the lead actress in the new movie Kabelo’s Fortune that will be screened in local cinemas later this year. Director and scriptwriter, Austine Ayoka of Dudu Productions says Mbau is “a liar and an unreliable creature”. Ayoka says since they started filming this month, she hasn’t turned up for a shoot or anything. “She kept telling us she was on her way, but never pitched” says Ayoka. No wonder she was replaced with another actress, Thobi Mkhwanazi. “Thobi is young and talented. She is a hard worker and we are happy with her experience in the entertainment industry”, he said. Mkhwanazi is elated and looking forward playing the gold-digger. “It’s important to me because I’m supporting a black director who’s representing our country.” Mbau claims she wasn’t happy with the location of the movie. “There is just something wrong about this movie. Why is it being shot in Pretoria? Jozi is the central district of everything. If I’m missing out on something good, that’s my loss then”, she concluded. Sigh. Khanyi really should be studied.

Akon and Fat Joe in Mzansi
Akon fans are in for a treat this weekend with performance alongside rapper Fat Joe in the mix. The hip-hop superstar will jet into Mzansi later this week to perform at the Urban Music Festival. The Senegalese-born star will kick off in Johannesburg at the Coca Cola Dome on 11 April and will then move on to Cape Town at the Good Hope Centre on 12 April. Looks like Durban fans will have to go to Jozi to make sure they don’t miss out on this one. Shame askies. Other acts include international group Black Violin and local stars Danny K, Ready D and Loyiso. Word is that Akon could collaborate with one of the local artists in the line-up. So make sure you don’t miss out!

Jay and B married?
Jay-Z married Beyoncé over the weekend according to Bang Showbiz. The singer and the hip-hop mogul tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Jay-Z’s New York apartment. It was an intimate and very private affair with their parents, a host of celebrity friends including Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin. Of course, Beyonce’s former Destiny’s Child members, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland were also there. Beyonce wore a stunning white dress with a plunging neckline and all the female guests wore white. The ceremony took place in a white marquee on the roof of Jay-Z’s apartment building that was filled with over 60,000 white orchids. The newlyweds will only take their honeymoon later in year due to their work commitments. Beyonce is starring as legendary soul and blues singer Etta James in ‘Cadillac Blues’ and Jay-Z was headed to North Carolina to continue his ‘Heart of the City’ tour with Mary J. Blige. We hope it’s true because there’s been too many wedding rumors about these two. If it’s true, it’s about time and may it last.

J-Lo wants Tom to be godfather
Jennifer Lopez wants Tom Cruise to be godfather to her twins reports BangShowbiz. The Latino star, who gave birth to son Max and daughter Emme on February 22, has reportedly persuaded hubby Marc Anthony, to give Tom the role despite their differences in religious beliefs. Word is that Tom is delighted. Initially, Marc wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to have a Scientologist as the kids’ godfather, especially as he and Jennifer are both Catholic. But in the end Jennifer got what she wanted. Tom has already showered the newborn twins with gifts. He spent $200,000 on designer christening outfits for Max and Emme, ordered a giant fish tank for their nursery and gave them complete Disney DVD box sets. In addition to that, Tom and his wife Katie Holmes planned to host a star-studded $200,000 ‘Welcome to the World’ themed-party for the fraternal twins. J-Lo is said to have purchased two Shetland ponies for Max and Emme, along with diamond-encrusted rattles, 600 thread count Egyptian cotton for the baby's cots and designer babygrows for the nursery wing in her Los Angeles home. Talk about being born with a platinum spoon in your mouth.
