Where is the one love movement?
According to Sunday World, award-winning jazz star Simphiwe Dana, rides on other musicians’ sound waves. Guitarist and composer Bheki Khoza alleges that the Amandla Sister didn’t credit or pay him for his part in the award-winning album The One Love Movement on Bantu Biko Street. Sunday World reports that he is taking Simphiwe and Gallo Records to court. Apparently, Dana asked Khoza to produce her album in 2006 and he agreed. “But when we met she only had lyrics and no beats – nothing, only words,” says Khoza. He adds, “I told her that since she only had lyrics, I wasn’t only going to produce, but also come up with drums, bass and strings”. When Dana denied their agreement Khoza reported the matter to South African Recording Rights Association Limited (Sarral) who, since they were both members, wanted to mediate. But Dana apparently resigned from Sarral and went ahead with Gallo to release the album. “I never got any recognition for my work and was never paid royalties,” Khoza revealed. Dana, who has just returned from a tour in Europe, says Khoza can take the issue to court. She alleges Gallo paid Bheki Khoza for producing her CD. Yoh bathong! Sister gal please give credit where it’s due. Otherwise, the Simphiwe brand will be tainted forever and you don’t want that!

Bjork’s politics not popular in China
According to Time.com, China government has decided to enforce strict guidelines on foreign performers after Icelandic singer Bjork shouted "Tibet! Tibet!" near the end of her concert in Shanghai last week. China's Culture Ministry issued a statement that read: Bjork's outburst "broke Chinese law and hurt Chinese people's feelings." Apparently, Bjork shouted "Tibet!" after a passionate performance of her song "Declare Independence" on Sunday. The statement also said, "There is no country that admits that Tibet is an “independent country.” Bjork clearly disagrees, having also dedicated the song to Kosovo while performing last month in Japan. Well, while China might ban the Icelandic singer, here’s hoping that they don’t ban her music.

Phat Joe late for breakfast
Loquacious new Kaya FM recruit Majota Khambule aka Phat lips - oops - Joe nearly made a no-show for his new breakfast slot when he arrived 45 minutes late reports the Sowetan. The new breakfast show host’s colleagues were panicking when he rocked up for work in the middle of a show that was going on without him. The managing director, Charlene Deacon received a call from Joe’s colleagues to find out where the host was. Sowetan reports that the station confirmed that the DJ had arrived late for his Phat Joe Breakfast Show on Monday, but couldn’t give reasons why. However, a source close to the station told Sowetan that the late coming was apparently just a prank. “It was actually a publicity stunt by the station to delay his arrival so that it would induce some sense of expectation in the listeners. I mean, he went to work in his pyjamas,” revealed a source. Deacon confirmed that the DJ was not late. “Some people got the joke while others could not. But the truth is, it was just a game and nothing else,” she said. Phat Joe is back and still up to his old tricks again. Welcome back Majota! Eintlik waar was jy?

Josh not coming to Mzansi no more
Sorry peeps! Josh Groban’s upcoming Mzansi tour has been postponed. New dates will be announced soon. Divas concert
After a successful tour in Mzansi a couple of years ago, Canadian R&B singer Tamia is on her way back for an encore reports the Sunday World. This year’s Divas Concert sees the multi-talented singer for its seventh edition that will be under the theme “Stop Abuse of Women and Children”. The concert will take place at the Witbank Dam in Mpumalanga on April 6. However, Tamia isn’t the only international star that will be performing alongside our very own Mzansi stars such as Siphokazi, Busi Mhlongo, Rebecca Malope, Freshlyground, Malaika, Lira, Judith Sephuma and Zonke. Pioneering British singer and songwriter Joan Armatrading will be in the mix too together with fellow citizen, and R&B starlet Keisha White. White will also perform before the Mpumalanga concert with Patti Labelle at the Coca-Cola Dome on March 30. What about the Mother City and other cities in Mzansi for that matter - why is all the fun always up north?
