Dr. Dre gets boozed up
After writing about "Gin and Juice" in the 90s, hip-hop producer and rapper Dr. Dre will now be producing his own range of alcoholic drinks, reports Billboard. The boozy venture is a collaboration between Dr. Dre, Interscope Geffen A&M Records and beverage company Drinks America. Dre’s cognac brand, named Aftermath Cognac after Dre’s own record label, is due to hit bottle store shelves in the next two months. At the same time, Dre will also be releasing a range of flavoured and unflavoured sparkling vodka. The launch of Dr. Dre’s new alcoholic venture will coincide with his long-awaited new album Detox. So soon you could find yourself getting down at a Dr Dre themed party, with The Chronic blasting out of the stereo speakers and a bottle of Aftermath vodka in your hand…
