Amy lands in hospital
Amy Winehouse has been warned she must quit drugs or face an early death, reports Bang Showbiz. The rehab-phobic singer was taken to hospital this week after collapsing at home. But, revealed a source to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Eventually she won’t get up again. The only thing to stop that happening is if she quits drugs.” Doctors believe Amy’s blackout could be linked to her drugs overdose last year. The 24-year-old star had several “episodes” last year and tests allegedly revealed her condition was linked to drugs. Worried friends believe the singer – who is due to perform at the Glastonbury music festival and Nelson Mandela’s birthday celebrations later this month - needs to take a break from music in order to recover. A friend said: “She should not work for at least six months. It is irresponsible of her team to keep putting her on stage. She needs to get away from temptations.” Amy’s dad Mitch – who is keeping a vigil by her bedside at The London Clinic has assured fans that she is doing fine. How much longer will she keep saying “no” to rehab? Before it’s too late?

Duffy told to f*** off
Duffy was reduced to tears after Sex Pistols star Johnny Rotten told her to “f**k off”, according to Bang Showbiz. The Welsh singer, best known for her hit “Mercy” approached the punkster backstage at the MOJO Honours List awards ceremony and tried to hug him. Johnny allegedly brushed her off, saying: “F**k off, you ****. You never do that to me.” Duffy was so shocked she burst into tears. A source said: "Duffy could not believe it. It came completely out of the blue. She went to throw an arm around John as they posed up for their group photo. He obviously wasn't expecting it and jumped when she touched him. "Then he let loose with his tirade. Duffy looked terrified and began to cry." The Sex Pistols frontman later claimed he hadn’t realised who Duffy was, saying: “Oh, she got an award? I quite like her.” Duffy won Single of the Year for “Mercy” at the awards bash in London, while the Sex Pistols picked up the Icon prize. Poor Duffy. We doubt Rotten is going to even remember the incident a week from now.

Zola knocks up rape accuser – again
Philanthropist, reality TV star and kwaito artist Zola clearly has a lot on his plate, but he has somehow managed to find time to get a woman pregnant - the same woman who says she was raped by the singer last year, reports Sunday World. Gannet Maseko, who already has a two-year-old child with Zola, is four months pregnant with the singer’s next child. Maseko threatened to have Zola arrested for statutory rape last year, alleging that he had slept with her when she was just 15 years old. But she never carried out her threat. It’s alleged that Maseko was bitter after Zola left her and was apparently defaulting on paying child support. But the two quietly kissed and made up and are now making more babies together. Zola confirmed the pregnancy: “Yes, Gannet is four months pregnant and I’m a 31-year-old and allowed to have children.” He has hit back at critics of his unusual family set-up, saying that he takes care of his children. “I’m young, black and successful and I’m a responsible dad. I don’t see why I can’t have another child,” he told reporters. Zola, who doesn’t believe in marriage, tells Sunday World that if his baby is a boy he will be named Bhambatha – the title of his last album. We also don’t care what other people have to say, Zola. We think using your unborn baby as a promotional vehicle for your music is a genius idea.

Radiohead get the Kiss of death
Radiohead have been blasted by veteran rockers Kiss for giving their music away for free, reports Bang Showbiz. Kiss bassist Gene Simmons says Radiohead – who gave fans the choice to download last year’s album In Rainbows for as much or as little as they wanted - says their decision is contributing to the demise of the record industry and insists his band would never follow suit. Gene - who has become a reality TV star with his show School of Rock - said: “The record industry is dead. It’s six feet underground and unfortunately the fans have done this. They’ve decided to download and file share. There is no record industry around so we’re going to wait until everybody settles down and becomes civilised. As soon as the record industry pops its head up we’ll record new material.” Simmons, who hasn’t released a Kiss album since 1998, appears to be about nine months too late with his criticism, as In Rainbows was released in October 2007 and has proved to be a success for the innovative British band. And if downloading music over the internet will prevent Kiss from ever recording again, we’re all for it!

Is Robbie going cuckoo?
Robbie Williams has taken up camping – because he wants to spot a UFO, reports Bang Showbiz. The singer has purchased a tent, sleeping bag, cooking gear and survival equipment so he can sleep under the Californian stars in the hope of seeing an extraterrestrial spacecraft. A source close to the star – who lives in Los Angeles - told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Robbie has been taking pals out to the woods for long weekends. He wants to live like a cowboy in a Western. He also has a fascination with UFOs and thinks he has more chance of seeing one away from Los Angeles’ bright lights.” Earlier this year, it was claimed Robbie was planning to splash out nearly R40-million on an alien observatory after spending all his free time visiting Arizona's National Optical Astronomy Observatory. Robbie - whose 2006 'Close Encounters World Tour' was alien-themed – has previously claimed he has been visited by spaceships on three occasions.Describing one close encounter of the third kind, he said: "I was lying on my sun lounger outside at night. Above me was a square thing that passed over my head slightly and shot off." Riiiiight. Let's hope his new nutty streak doesn't affect the music.
