I don't know about you, but ten years ago, I was a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed varsity student. My world revolved around assignments and exams, and any free time I had was spent with my ears glued to the radio.

Music provided an escape for me – if I wasn't bobbing my head along to a Liquideep classic, then I was probably trying to learn the words to HHP's Mpitse.

Yes, some of these songs were released at the end of 2009, but they kept us dancing all the way into 2010, with some scoring nominations at the 2010 Samas.

So, let's take a walk down memory lane.

Here are ten local songs that we were all probably jamming to a decade ago.

1. Master Jam ft RJ Benjamin - Change the World

2. Freshlyground - Fire Is Low

3. Black Coffee ft Zakes Bantwini - Juju

4. Loyiso Bala - World of Mine

5. Jax Panik - Dinosour

6. HHP - Mpitse

7. Goldfish ft Sakhile Moleshe - We Come Together

8. Liquideep - Fairytale

9. Big Nuz ft DJ Tira - Umlilo

10. Die Antwoord - Enter the Ninja
