Cape Town - So what do you do when you want to interview a hardcore rock ‘n roll band who just happened to be in town? Well you make them decorate cupcakes of course!

We got the boys from Anti Retro Vinyls out of bed very early (11:30) and had them pop in at our office so we could get baking and ask them some questions. Here's 10 things we found out about them:

1) They are a four piece band from Durban. Yay for Durbs!

2) The band consists out of two sets of brothers Greg (Vocals) and Harry Allan (Guitar) and Christiaan (Drums) and Carl van Renen (Bass). (Just so you know: Harry is the one on the left, Carl is next to him, Greg is in the middle and Christiaan is on the far right)

3) They were previously known as The Otherwise. They had to change their name to The Anti Retro Vinyls, after it came to their attention that there was an American band called The Otherwise.

4) Carl is an aspiring actor whose favourite movie is Fight Club.

5) Christiaan is secretly a fan of the Jersey Shore reality show. Geordie Shore is his second favourite reality show.

6) Harry is an animal person and loves cats. His girlfriend is also called Kat.

7) 11:30 is a very early call-time for a rock band who had a gig the previous night.

8) They are extremely good at decorating cupcakes. But like really, really good at it.

9) Greg makes the best cupcakes. Also if Greg had to choose between Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, he would totes choose Miley.

10) They might be rockers but they are super polite and even volunteered to clean the kitchen after the cupcake photo shoot.
